Messaging & SMS Policy
Last Updated: May 11, 2026
Lead4u LLC sends text messages on behalf of the businesses we work with — primarily appointment reminders, booking confirmations, service and status updates, review requests, and replies to inquiries — and is building a managed messaging product for partners and clients. This policy explains how we run messaging programs and what we require of anyone who sends messages through us. It supplements our Acceptable Use Policy and Privacy Policy.
What we send
Transactional and conversational messages (reminders, confirmations, alerts, customer-service replies) and, where the recipient has opted in, related informational or promotional messages. We do not send cold or unsolicited marketing texts and we do not message purchased lists.
Consent
We and our clients obtain consent before texting a recipient. For non-marketing transactional texts, that means the recipient provided their mobile number for that purpose (for example, when booking an appointment). For marketing or promotional texts, that means prior express written consent — a clear, affirmative opt-in (checkbox, keyword, or signed form) that is not a condition of purchase and that discloses the program name, sender, approximate message frequency, "Message and data rates may apply", and links to this policy and our Privacy Policy. We retain consent records.
Example opt-in language we use: "Yes, text me appointment reminders and updates from [Business Name] at this number. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. See lead4u.co/messaging-policy and lead4u.co/privacy-policy."
Opting out
Reply STOP (also UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message to opt out — you'll get one confirmation and no further messages for that program. Reply HELP (or INFO) for help, or contact support@lead4u.co. Opt-outs are honored immediately.
Message frequency & rates
Frequency varies by program (for example, reminders are sent only around your appointments). Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. We are not responsible for carrier charges.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier and device availability.
Registration & sender identity
We register A2P 10DLC brands and campaigns (and complete toll-free verification or short-code provisioning where applicable) before sending, and we use accurate, registered sender identities. We do not spoof sender IDs and we do not use grey routes.
Prohibited content
See our Acceptable Use Policy, sections 4–5. In short: no spam, no unlawful/deceptive/fraudulent content, no phishing or smishing, no SHAFT content where prohibited, no high-risk financial, cannabis, or gambling content except where expressly permitted by us and the carriers/registries, and no malicious links.
Partners and resellers
If we enable you to send messages for your own customers, you must (a) collect and retain valid consent, (b) verify each customer's identity and use case before enabling traffic, (c) register brands and campaigns as required, (d) bind your customers to terms at least as protective as our AUP, and (e) cooperate with audits. You remain responsible for your customers' traffic.
Monitoring & enforcement
We monitor opt-out rates, complaint rates, and delivery quality. We may throttle, pause, or terminate any program that generates excessive opt-outs or complaints, triggers carrier filtering, or violates this policy or our AUP.
Privacy
Mobile numbers and message content are handled per our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or rent phone numbers, and we do not share opt-in or consent data with third parties for their own marketing. Mobile information collected for messaging is used only to provide and support the messaging program.
Voice calls & call recording
Where we provide voice services, we and our clients place calls only with the consent required by law, comply with applicable calling-time and do-not-call rules, and use accurate caller ID. If a call may be recorded, we provide a recording disclosure at the start of the call ("This call may be recorded for quality and training purposes") and obtain consent where required by law (some states require all-party consent). Recordings are retained per our Privacy Policy and deleted on schedule or on valid request.
