Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: May 11, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs use of all services provided by Lead4u LLC ("LEAD4U", "we", "us"), including our websites, marketing services, and communications services (SMS/MMS, voice, and email). It applies to our clients, their authorized users, and any party that sends or causes messages or calls to be sent through services we provide ("you"). By using our services you agree to this AUP. We may update it; material changes take effect 30 days after we post them. This AUP is incorporated into our Terms of Service and should be read together with our Messaging & SMS Policy and Privacy Policy.
1. Consent is required
You may only send messages or place calls to recipients who have given you the consent required under applicable law — including, in the U.S., the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the CAN-SPAM Act, and the CTIA Messaging Principles. For marketing or promotional text messages this means prior express written consent. You must keep records of consent and provide them to us on request. Purchased, rented, harvested, or otherwise third-party-sourced contact lists are prohibited.
2. Honor opt-outs immediately
Every messaging program must support STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT to opt out and HELP/INFO for help, and must honor opt-out requests in real time. Recipients must never be required to opt out more than once. You may not message a recipient who has opted out.
3. Required disclosures
Opt-in must clearly identify the sender (your business), the program, the message frequency, that "Message and data rates may apply", and link to applicable terms and a privacy policy. Promotional messages must identify the sender and provide a clear opt-out.
4. Prohibited content and use cases
You may not use our services to send or facilitate:
- spam or unsolicited bulk messages or calls;
- content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading;
- phishing, smishing, or social-engineering content;
- "SHAFT" content (sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, tobacco) where prohibited by carriers;
- content related to high-risk financial services (e.g., payday/short-term loans, debt relief, cryptocurrency), cannabis/CBD, illegal gambling, illegal drugs or prescriptions, sweepstakes, multi-level-marketing, or "get rich quick" schemes, except where expressly permitted by us and the relevant carriers and registries;
- malware or malicious links;
- harassment, threats, or abuse;
- content that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- political messaging that does not comply with applicable rules;
- any content or traffic pattern prohibited by a carrier, The Campaign Registry, or applicable law.
5. No grey routing, no traffic manipulation
You may not attempt to obscure the origin, sender, or nature of traffic; use unauthorized routes or "grey routes"; spoof or falsify sender IDs, caller ID, or headers; or engage in traffic pumping, artificial inflation of traffic (AIT), or similar abuse. SMS sender identifiers and voice caller IDs must be accurate and, where applicable, registered.
6. Registration
Where required, A2P 10DLC brands and campaigns (and other registrations such as toll-free verification or short-code provisioning) must be completed and accurate before traffic is sent. We will not knowingly enable traffic that should be registered and is not.
7. Volume, throughput, and quality
You must stay within the throughput, volume, and content limits we communicate to you. We monitor delivery rates, opt-out rates, and complaint rates; sustained high opt-out/complaint rates or carrier filtering may result in throttling or suspension.
8. Resellers and downstream customers
If we permit you to provide communications services to your own customers, you must impose obligations at least as protective as this AUP on those customers, verify their identity and use case before enabling traffic, register brands/campaigns as required, and remain responsible for their compliance. We may require you to provide your downstream onboarding and vetting procedures.
9. Security and lawful use
You may not use our services to violate any law or regulation, infringe rights, breach security, scan or probe systems without authorization, or interfere with our services or other users.
10. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, require information from you, throttle, suspend, or terminate services, remove content, and report unlawful activity to carriers, registries, and authorities — with or without notice where we deem it necessary to protect recipients, carriers, our network, or the public. Violations may result in fees, chargebacks, or liability passed through to you. We cooperate with carrier and regulatory investigations.
11. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse, spam, or violations to abuse@lead4u.co (or use our abuse-reporting page). We aim to acknowledge reports within one business day and to act on confirmed abuse promptly.
